Rosalind Club Wedding | Downtown Orlando Wedding | Orlando Wedding Planner | Jenny and Mike

As Jenny and Mike prep for their Rosalind Club wedding in the heart of downtown Orlando we created a few questions to get to know them and how they have become the soon to be new Mr. and Mrs.!

  • Q. How did the two of you meet?
    A. Mike and I met in March of 2011 down in Key West, Florida on spring break at the well known establishment of Fat Tuesdays. We both were attending The University of Florida at that time and had a lot in common right from the start. After returning to Gainesville, we continued to get to know each other inviting each other to multiple fraternity, sorority functions, every gator football game in true Fetto style and adventurous dates around town. After graduation we continued our relationship despite the long distance with me living in both Orlando and Atlanta and him living in Jupiter, Florida. Finally, after much anticipation, I made the move to Jupiter to be with Mike in April of 2015 and Mike proposed in the sweetest way on July 24th, 2015, which was celebrated with a cruise the following day with my family. Some of our greatest times together are spent with our families, attending gator games, enjoying happy hour on the water, and afternoons at the beach. We are so excited for our future together.
  • Q. What did you do on your first date?
    A. Our first date was to a ‘very fancy’ Mexican Restaurant called La Tienda, picture a restaurant with a drug store as well… It was very casual with our standard quesadilla and burrito orders. 🙂
  • Q. What one thing does he/she do that drives you crazy?
    A. It drives me crazy that Mike likes to leave with no time to spare rather than me who likes to always plan for traffic and arrive 5 minutes early.Mike would probably say that it drives him crazy how much I hate to watch movies
  • Q. What is the best quality about your partner
    A. The best quality about Mike is his desire to always make me happy. He goes out of his way to do things that he knows will put a smile on my face. He is laid back when I need him to be and takes control when I need that as well.
  • Q. Who wears the pants in your relationship?
    A. Mike still wears the pants in the relationship…until June 4th that is… 🙂
  • Q. Describe the moment that you knew he/she was The One!
    A. Oh gosh, I may be too embarrassed to admit how soon I thought he was the one! I was smitten with him pretty early on.
  • Q. Tell us about the proposal!!
    A. Throughout the week before the proposal, Mike had asked if I wanted to go out to happy hour with him and friends on Friday after work. I agreed, but as the week went on, I started to back out. We were leaving on Saturday for a 5 day cruise with my family and there was just to much to do. By Friday, I was not shy about letting him know I had no desire to go. I was calling friends and family complaining about how Mike kept trying to get me to go out and I just did not want to. Finally, I agreed but told him, we could go for two hours and I was not dressing up or doing my hair! HA Once he got home, I still complained as he convinced me to dress nicer and do my hair. (After I put up a good fight though, and asked him why he didn’t love me with my natural look, if only I knew). Once we got in the car, he started to go the wrong way saying he wanted to take scenic route. Still with no clue, he wanted to finish our drinks out at the beach pier. Letting him know this counted in the two hours we made our way out to pier and had the most beautiful view of the water and sky line. He then proceeded to tell me all the reasons he loved me and that he couldn’t imagine life a part. From there my tears took over, as he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes, and according to Mike I answered yes before he even asked I was that excited!!
Afterwards he surprised me with inviting my family in town a day early to have a celebration at his family’s house. It was such a great ending to have both families together.
So my one lesson I like to pass on, if you are with the one you want to marry and he wants to go to happy hour, just say yes! 🙂
  • Q. How does your wedding reflect your personal style?
The Rosalind Club is classy, elegant, and beautiful 🙂
  • Q. Tell us 2 or 3 words that sum up your wedding.
    A. Elegant fun
  • Q. What are your plans for your honeymoon?
    A. Mike is in charge of the honeymoon, which has yet to be decided. It will be Caribbean or Europe (Polar opposites lol)

Such a cute love story right?!  We cannot wait to celebrate with this super cute couple!
