Alexa & Chris’s Love Story | The Winter Park Farmer’s Market |

I don’t know if these two could get any cuter! I loved reading Alexa & Chris’s love story as it is incredibly genuine and it is apparent that they both “just knew” that they were meant for each other. Alexa and Chris’s wedding day is going to be held on August 19, 2016 at The Winter Park Farmer’s Market and Nicole Squared Events could not be more excited! Here is a little sneak peak about our adorable couple 🙂

How did the two of you meet?

Chris & I grew up in the same neighborhood. I was actually really good friends with his younger sister Catie. We’ve known each other through grade school and then once we were both in college we started talking. At the time we both still lived at home in the same neighborhood and I needed a ride home (Chris was at the same place) so I asked I could tag along for a ride. Ever since then we’ve been together.

What did you do on your first date?

Well since I’m a super awkward person I only let him take me out on our first official date because he had a gift card and we went to Chili’s (He counts that as the first date) but I count our first date when I made him go get ice cream with me (he was at a banquet and sped home and pretended like he was there the whole time so I wouldn’t go without him).

What one thing does he/she do that drives you crazy?

playing games on his phone

Chris’s response: my bed time (I got to bed at 9:00 every night)

What is the best quality about your partner?

Chris’s response: She’s the most supportive person I know. She’ll always be there for me and anyone else who needs her. But that’s only one out of many great qualities.

Alexa’s response: it’s really hard to choose just one but I’d say that he’s the sweetest most genuine person you could ever know.

Who wears the pants in your relationship?

I personally think I wear the pants however Chris says he wears the pants and I wear capris lol! But we always make decisions together and talk everything out. We’ve never had one person go around the other.

Describe the moment that you knew he/she was The One!

Alexa’s response: When Chris applied to FSU was secretly hoping he got denied. I had never been so sad in my life when he moved. From there we did long distance and then I eventually transferred to FSU. He was my best friend and we did everything together. Once we started living together I knew that we’d get married eventually. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else by my side.

Chris’s response: the moment I knew was when she moved to Tallahassee I knew nothing could come between us. She’s always been the love of my life since day one and I’ll continue to love her forever.

Tell us about the proposal!!

This was my favorite part!! So on a Friday night I was going home for the weekend for a flower crown class (Chris was working all weekend in Tallahassee). The class was with his mom and sister. About two hours before the class started his mom called and said she’d pick me up (same neighborhood still) and told me that the class had been moved up an hour. She told me to dress nicely because there would be a photographer taking photos of us for the florist to advertise. (Sometimes I’ll just wear running shorts and a tee shirt but I already had my favorite blue dress picked out to wear). So she was running 5 minutes late and I’m not a late person so I almost drove over there and my mom said give her a minute she’ll be here. (Good thing my mom knew to stop me because Chris was at his parents’ house). We did the flower class (super rushed now I know why.. They were trying to finish before sunset). Shari and Catie decide we should do dinner at Ocean Side Country Club with our crowns to show them off (I was complaining to Chris two days before that no one wanted to do anything after). Catie and I were driving to “dinner” when her mom called and said the photographer stopped her in the lot and said that she wanted us to meet her at the beach approach to get photos quickly. I said sure but as long it doesn’t take long because I was starving. We pull up and get out and Catie walks up to the top deck and I’m cluelessly standing there below looking at this cloud that the sun was lighting up and Catie wasn’t talking anymore so I just walked up to see Chris and our two dogs standing there. (The dogs both had signs “will you” “marry dad”) his brother Matt was there capturing photos for us. Chris was super nervous as he gave his speech of how he knew I was the one for him ever since our date at the Flagler Pier. (This was the first time he told me that he loved me). Of course I said yes!! After we went back to his house and had a dinner with both of our families waiting to greet us.

How does your wedding reflect your personal style?

We are both pretty simple people. So I’d say the wedding is simple with a touch of elegance but also historic because of the farmer’s market setting.

Tell us 2 or 3 words that sum up your wedding.

Simple historic elegant.

What are your plans for your honeymoon?

We’re planning on going to Italy next year to celebrate our honeymoon/anniversary since we have so much going on this fall.

Keep your eyes out for our blog to introduce them as Mr. & Mrs. Ferritto!!
