As we begin the process of planning Tatiana and Raul’s Bella Collina wedding I wanted to let you in on their love story!  The process is just beginning but we are looking forward to celebrating this day full of joy along side some of our favorite vendors including Our DJ Rocks!  Stay tuned for photos from their colorful Indian inspired Bella Collina wedding coming this winter!

  • Q. How did the two of you meet?
    A. We met in 10th grade in Puerto Rico. We were in the same homeroom and became best friends.
  • Q. What did you do on your first date?
    A. We went to the movies.
  • Q. What one thing does he/she do that drives you crazy?

    A. He snores loudly and won’t put the tv and video game controllers away after using them.

She gets annoyed by “loud” noises I make while she’s watching tv.

  • Q. What is the best quality about your partner
    A. His best qualities are that he’s caring, funny, charming, loyal, considerate, understanding, flexible and respectful.
Her best qualities are that I can be myself around her and she doesn’t judge my quirkiness.
  • Q. Who wears the pants in your relationship?
    A. He does!
  • Q. Describe the moment that you knew he/she was The One!

    A. Ever since I met him in high school, I knew he was special. What started out as a friendship ended up with us dating shortly in High School before we went our separate ways after it didn’t work out. Throughout the years, and after me being with other people, I felt that he was the one for me. No one had made me feel the way he did; he was my best friend. Even though it didn’t work out long term in high school, I still felt he was a good person; it just wasn’t our time. We needed to mature. After close to 8 years, we reconnected and decided to go to a theme park together. We were both visiting Florida at the time and decided to just catch up. We realized that there was a lot of chemistry between us and the spark was still there. It was great because we both had matured and felt like we should give it another chance; and luckily, it all worked out.

When we went our separate ways after high school, I always kept thinking of her. One time, for a vacation trip, I went to various theme parks in Orlando. I noticed through Facebook that she was also in Orlando at the time. After contacting her, I realized that she was staying merely minutes of where I was! We went to Busch Gardens together with my family. When we were together it felt amazing! I was the happiest I had been in a long time with her. We finished each other’s sentences and had multiple jinx moments! (about 14 moments, we counted!) We had great chemistry that continued to grow and develop, even to this moment.

  • Q. Tell us about the proposal!!

    A. We were vacationing in Maryland with his family. We decided to go to Washington, DC to see the Cherry Blossom Festival. Unfortunately, very few had bloomed. Nevertheless it was beautiful. After that we decided to go to Old Town Alexandria in Virginia. We had lunch, watched the sights and walked around. We saw a portrait artist and he convinced me to do the portrait. He went first and then I did. After a while, he was done and when I went to see the portrait, the artist had written “Will you marry me?” along with the drawing. When I turned around, he was on one knee proposing. I said YES and had it all recorded on video by his parents like I wanted.

  • Q. How does your wedding reflect your personal style?
    A. I want some Indian elements for my wedding because I love Indian culture; the colors, the music, the food, the traditions, Bollywood, etc.
  • Q. Tell us 2 or 3 words that sum up your wedding.
    A. Colorful, Exotic, Romantic.
  • Q. What are your plans for your honeymoon?
    A. I would love to go to either Iceland, England, Jamaica, India or Japan.
