As we prepare all the final details of Jessica and Joel’s downtown Orlando wedding we wanted to fill you in on the beginning of their life together. They are planning a Great Gatsby themed soiree at The Ballroom at Church Street. Below is a blurb on how these two fell deeply and madly in love with each other! Q. How did the two of you meet?A. We met through a mutual friend Ailyn Cortes.

Q. What did you do on your first date?A. On our first date he took my to a hookah spot in downtown Orlando. And our second date he surprised me with taking me to a fun shooting range.

Q. What one thing does he/she do that drives you crazy?A. His overly cautious/protective ways drive me crazy yet I’m grateful for it at the same time .

Q. Who wears the pants in your relationship?A. We are both very strong people but I let him till I need to

Q. Describe the moment that you knew he/she was The One!A. We both knew at the same time only 2 weeks after we had been dating he whisked me away to Puerto Rico for a very last minute trip. (Matter of fact we planned the trip the day before we left) and on Sept 16 2012 we were in the ocean off of the island called Vieques when we looked at each-other and we both said to remember that exact moment…. So we could look back on it when we were married and know that was the second we fell in love !!! It was still so soon to say “I love u” but with out using words we both knew what each other was thinking. It was so very memorable there is no way to ever forget it.

Q. Tell us about the proposal!!A. We woke up that morning and as always decided last minute that we wanted to spend the day in Anna Maria Island so we got in the car and drove. I didn’t think anything of it because it was very typical for us to be spontaneous with our day trips. We set up on the beach and after we were there for an hour or so Joel pointed out something brown slightly poking out of the sand. Of course with my curious nature I had to take a closer look. As I started to dig through the sand I discovered a treasure box and before I could open it he was there on one knee , pulled the ring out and popped the question. It was just us… No one else around and definitely a total surprise!!

Q. How does your wedding reflect your personal style?A. Joel has let me take total control of things and I feel like we are both “old souls” so it’s very fitting for us to go with a 1920’s style wedding and making it a theme stays true to our fun/party like side.
