Royal Crest Room Wedding | Agnes and Mike engaged | Orlando Wedding Planner

For the upcoming Royal Crest Room wedding of Aggie and Mike we wanted to give you a little insight as to how their love story began.  Below are a few questions that will help you get to know them!  We are looking forward to working with the team they have put together including Al Dee Productions for DJ, Photo, and Video, and Party Flavors!

  • Q. How did the two of you meet?
    A. We met at a friend’s baby shower. They had a co-ed baby shower at their house and Mike was there. We had a lot of mutual friends but we had never met as he lived in Atlanta and had just relocated to Orlando.
  • Q. What did you do on your first date?
    A. We went to dinner at a sushi restaurant in Winter Park, then went for dessert at cheesecake factory. It was the longest date ever but had a lot of fun and conversation.
  • Q. What one thing does he/she do that drives you crazy?
    A. He has a type A personality and is always on a program while I am more easy going and take things as they come. He likes to rush me when we have to go places because he never wants to be late and that drives me crazy and it probably drives him crazy too.
  • Q. What is the best quality about your partner
    A. Aggie is a caring and loving person. She wears her heart on her sleeve and it’s clear where her emotions and mood fall. She is self driven, motivated and wants the best for herself and our relationship. She’s constantly looking for what’s next for our family and also wants me to succeed in my career. She loves me unconditionally despite my faults and shortcomings. She has definitely made me a better man throughout the years we’ve been together.Mike is very thoughtful and very dependable. He always wants the best for our family, is very caring and loving. Mike thinks the best of everyone and always gives people the benefit of the doubt. He is very focused and driven and has a good head on his shoulders. He makes me a better person, teaches me to be more tolerant and patient. I admire his drive and he encourages me to go after what I want and that’s very supportive. He is the best partner I could ever ask for.
  • Q. Who wears the pants in your relationship?
    A. We are both stubborn so we compromise. We tend to not agree with forms of authority. We have learned that this style works with us (aka Mike wears the pants).(Its obvious Mike answered this one, lol)
  • Q. Describe the moment that you knew he/she was The One!
    A. I knew she was the one when I had a business trip to China for a period of 3 weeks. It sort of reminded me of how life would be without her in my life. I’ve never missed her as much as I did during this period. When I returned, she was even better than I left. I realized then that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.I knew he was the one when we went to Kenya in May 2013. The way he took care of us while we were there and meeting my family for the first time. He was very understanding and accepting of them (I have a huge family) and he was so comfortable around them. I met his family too and they were just as loving and very fun. I knew I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life. The same was confirmed to me when we brought back my son, Travis with us from Kenya and he has since treated him as his own, includes him in all our plans and makes sure that he is well taken care of. Travis loves Mike and they have a very close, loving and respectful relationship with each other.
  • Q. Tell us about the proposal!!
    A. I made reservations at the California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. I did research on many locations, but nothing seemed as special as this restaurant. I made arrangements with the restaurant manager for the “Cinderella – engagement package” which includes a glass slipper with engagement ring delivered by the chef. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I handed the ring and camera to the manager (she had no idea). We were seated by the window overlooking the magic kingdom castle. We ordered dessert after dinner which was brought in a covered tray. To her surprise, chef removed the cover to reveal the glass slipper with the ring. I then got on one knee, took the ring from the slipper and asked her to marry me. She was in such shock, but managed to yes! Immediately, the lights in the restaurant dimmed and the fireworks at the magic kingdom started. We then enjoyed the rest of the fireworks show and concluded the memorable night. He really surprised me! I cried and called everybody on our drive home.
  • Q. How does your wedding reflect your personal style?
    A. We tend to be very picky with venues, colors and location. The Royal Crest Room reflects our style of simply elegance with its ceremony location with the view overlooking the greens. Our wedding style is modern elegance and touches of our Kenyan tradition.
  • Q. Tell us 2 or 3 words that sum up your wedding.
    A. Elegant, modern and fun.
  • Q. What are your plans for your honeymoon?
    A. We will be heading to Playa Mujeres, just south of Cancun, Mexico for 5 nights. We plan to RELAX, unwind and explore the city.
We cannot wait to celebrate their love this upcoming June!  Enjoy these photos from Al Dee Productions and don’t hesitate to contact Nicole Squared for your Royal Crest Room wedding!
