Q. How did the two of you meet?A. We met on the website Plenty of Fish.
-
Q. What did you do on your first date?A. Our first date was very impromptu. I texted Ryan during my prep time to inform him that I was having a CRAZY day and that I could use a glass of wine. He texted me back and told me he could make it to me by 7. (He lived 2 hours away). We drove 26 miles to another town to grab a glass of wine at the winery there. After the winery we went to the state park because I was sure they had buffalo and bald eagles. It was cold and there were no buffalo. :).

Q. What one thing does he/she do that drives you crazy?A. Honestly, nothing. I think that everything that he does makes him who he is and I love everything about him.
-
Q. What is the best quality about your partnerA. His levelheaded kindness. He gets along with everyone because he is able to look at whatever or whomever as a whole and not as a part. He doesn’t get overly worked up about anything because he is sensible. He can talk me down when I am not able to see the big picture.
-
Q. Who wears the pants in your relationship?A. Our relationship is full of equality. No one person has the ‘say’. We make mutual decisions and understand the positive qualities that we each have and how they relates to a given situation.
-
Q. Describe the moment that you knew he/she was The One!A. As cheesy as it may sound… Day one. The moment I began to talk to him, I realized that our interaction was different than any other interaction I’d had with anyone. As far as the official ‘I am madly in love with this man’, I’d say that happened about 2 weeks into our relationship, he is just so caring, kind!

Q. Tell us about the proposal!!A. First of all, you have to know how amazing Ryan is at planning EVERYTHING. He can hide a surprise far better than I will ever be able to. We had planned a vacation to Florida several months in advance and knew exactly what we wanted in our vacation. We planned 1 day at universal studios, 2 days at Disney, and two days on the beach. We had decided on a vacation together as a joint birthday celebration in lue of gifts. I had absolutely zero idea about it, as I was unsure how he could possible pull off a proposal on a trip we had planned TOGETHER. On the morning before going to Epcot, we decided to go get breakfast at Disney’s Boardwalk. We had talked about Disney and weddings before so Ryan nonchalantly mentioned that we should go check out the place on the boardwalk where Disney does weddings before getting breakfast. I begrudgingly agreed (I was hungry). As we were walking to the gazebo, we talked a little about the magical wedding that happen there. As we approached the steps leading into the gazebo Ryan asked me if I would like to begin planning our wedding for real. He got down on one knee, told me I was everything he ever wanted in another human being and professed is love for me. The icing on the whole cake was that he had hired a photographer to capture the ENTIRE thing. Sara Martin from Concept Photography did such an amazing job capturing the whole beautiful thing!! They are pictures I continually look back at. 🙂 The coolest thing is that we asked Concept photography to photograph our engagement pictures as well as our wedding, so we will have them as a part of our WHOLE love story.

Q. How does your wedding reflect your personal style?A. It is simple and adventure based. We are big into life being one big adventure, we choose our adventures through everyday decisions, impromptu vacations, planned out trips, reading, and just enjoying the moment, we wanted to incorporate this in our day.

Q. Tell us 2 or 3 words that sum up your wedding.A. Old World Adventure

Q. What are your plans for your honeymoon?A. We are planning to wait before taking a honeymoon as we are making a move to a new city and starting new jobs.
