Q. How did the two of you meet?
A. We both work for Walgreens and had worked in the same building for close to three years before actually being introduced to each other. Funny thing is, each of us secretly had a crush on each other.

Q. What did you do on your first date?
A. Although the first time we actually went out, we stopped at a Friday’s after work one night, he didn’t realize that was a date. The first “date” we had was to see Taken 2 at Universal and of course we had to stop for a drink at Pat O’Briens. That one drink hit me quick and while sitting in the theater for previews I excused myself to the restroom where I somehow got in a fight with the trash can and came back with a bleeding elbow. He laughed at me but he made sure to help stop the bleeding before the movie started. We still laugh about that night.

Q. What one thing does he/she do that drives you crazy?
A. Her answer: Heath likes to leave clothes on the floor and when asked to put them in the hamper his answer is always, “…but I’m going to wear that” and it drives me crazy.

His answer: While watching TV, I’ll ask her if she is tired and wants to go
to bed, she always says no but then falls asleep not even five minutes later.

Q. What is the best quality about your partner
A. Her answer: Heath is the most compassionate person I know, he will always go out of his way to help someone.

His answer: Deana is very affectionate toward me and I love that, she’s not a touchy person so it’s special.

Q. Who wears the pants in your relationship?
A. We take turns depending on the situation, a lot of time we compromise on the decision making.

Q. Describe the moment that you knew he/she was The One!
A. Her answer: I knew Heath was the one very early on. One of our first dates we had gone bowling and since both of us lived in opposite directions we parked in a Friday’s parking lot and talked all night in the car, it wasn’t until the sun was coming up that we decided maybe we should head home. I went to bed with a smile on my face that morning thinking about it. From day one, everything just flowed the way you would imagine a relationship should.

His answer: It took me a little longer to figure it out that there was something special about our relationship. It was about five months in when we started spending a lot more time together and basically living together, I woke up one morning, turned over to look at her and it was like a light bulb went off and I just knew it.

Q. Tell us about the proposal!!
A. We planned a family vacation with Heath’s parents to Cedar Point but when his Dad got stuck working we changed the trip and went to Tennessee with his Mom, Sherrie. That morning Heath and I had argued in the car on the way to Rock City over which GPS worked better, iPhone or Android. When we got to Rock City it was a chilly morning and we spent hours walking around, I thought we had seen everything but Sherrie insisted that we get to this one area because she needed photos from that spot. We kept walking until we found it, we took a few pictures and then Sherrie told us that we needed to go out to the platform so she could get a picture of us with the waterfall and Lover’s Leap behind us. When we were on this platform, Heath pulled me in close and was telling me how much I meant to him, how much he loved me and then asked, “What would you say if I asked you to spend the rest of your life with me?” I realized at this point that he might just be asking the question so I responded with, “if you’re asking me today I’d say yes, but tomorrow, well I don’t know about tomorrow.” Heath then said “well then I better ask you this now,” he dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was so surprised, I pulled him up and started kissing him before I answered the question or let him put the ring on.

Q. How does your wedding reflect your personal style?
A. I spent a lot of time picking out a venue, I had a picture in my head of how I imagined things to look. When I arrived at Tuscawilla I just knew that it would be the place we would be married, it was exactly what I wanted. Purple is the color and for the most part we are keeping things simple. The most important part for us is having our closest family and friends there to celebrate with us.

Q. Tell us 2 or 3 words that sum up your wedding.
A. Love. Happiness. Celebration.

Q. What are your plans for your honeymoon?
A. We are postponing our honeymoon for a few days to participate in the Orlando International Dragon Boat Festival, we’ve been paddling together for two years. After the race we will be heading to Sandals Resort in Montego Bay for five days.

Thanks to Brian Pepper and Associates for these engagement photos!  We can’t wait to see all the details of the big day come together 🙂
