Winter Park Racquet Club wedding | Orlando Wedding Planner | Erin and Max Engaged!

We are so excited to see the details of Erin and Max’s Winter Park Racquet Club wedding that will be taking place on New Year’s Eve this year!  They have got an amazing team put together to make sure this day goes perfectly!  Some of these vendors include the Winter Park Racquet Club wedding team, Nate Puhr Photography, Dream Designs Florist, and Creative Pyrotechnics!  Here’s a short blurb on how their love story panned out!

Q. How did the two of you meet?

A. Max and I met through mutual friends. My best friend from college, her husband went to high school with max. We met at a bar here in St. Louis. Max came over to talk to some of his old high school friends and we were introduced.

  • Q. What did you do on your first date?
       A. On our first date Max and I went to dinner and a concert. After meeting at the bar we exchanged numbers and texted for the next week. We discovered we both liked the same music and TV shows, like friends. Max is very sarcastic and loves to play jokes/pranks. During that week leading up to the date, I got a text from Max saying he had two tickets to the David Nail concert and asked if I was interested. I said “Sure! That sounds so fun” couple minutes later I got a text saying, “Great! I’ll leave the tickets at will call with your name” Don’t worry he only let me hang there for a couple minutes till he then responded “Just Kidding!”
    Q. What is the best quality about your partner
       A. Max and I are complete opposites. I am the loud/outgoing one in our relationship, while he is more calm. He is always very easy going and very calm.
    Q. Who wears the pants in your relationship?
       A. Haha! Good question. To be honest, I think both of us would have different answers to this question. As much as I want to say me, I think both of us wear the pants on different things. When it comes to
    Q. Describe the moment that you knew he/she was The One!
       A. I knew Max was the one when he came home to meet my family for the first time. I have four sisters and a brother and that Thanksgiving everyone was home. Our family never has a dull moment. Max handled everyone’s grilling and interrogation like a pro. He got along with everyone and it was such a fun weekend.
    Q. Tell us about the proposal!!

       A. My step dad works in Australia. This past December was his last month there and he decided that we were all going to spend Christmas/New Years there. He had been talking about this event we were going to on New Years Eve ALL YEAR. It was a black tie event at Fort Denison, which is an old military fort in the middle of Sydney Harbor, with perfect unobstructed views of the Sydney Opera House and the New Years Eve fireworks that are set off from the Sydney bridge.

About two months before, Max had sent my parents a thank you package for when they had visited us in St Louis for my birthday. In the package was a note explaining how he need to talk to them and if they could call him when they had a free second. My parents gave their blessing and told Max told them he wanted to propose in Australia.

New Years Eve came along, everyone got dressed up and headed to the party. As the sun was setting my mom stated that she wanted to gather all my siblings and take pictures. We did a family couple and they wanted to do couples. When it came time for Max and I to do our picture, we took a few and I looked over and he was down on one knee!

    Q. Tell us 2 or 3 words that sum up your wedding.
          A.  elegant, classy, timeless
    Q. What are your plans for your honeymoon?
        A. We haven’t figured that out yet but we are thinking somewhere in the Caribbean.
